There’s nothing like the first day of holidays. You hang out for the day, you count down, but in reality (for me at least) I think about all the things I didn’t quite finish at work, things that still need to be done. Someone once said to me that it takes 2 weeks towind down & actually switch off from work. Thank goodness I have 6 weeks!
Perth. The land of beautiful people, beautiful weather & a laid back, relaxed attitude about everything. Just what was needed after a late night packing session. But, the best thing about leaving packing till the last minute, is that you don’t have time to pack stuff you don’t need & won’t use!
The wedding preparations are well underway, and the big day is tomorrow. We’ve had the rehersal, checjed out the venue, meet the family & friends & now all that is left if to finish my speech. I’m doing the welcome intro, sofingers crossed I come up with something pretty fabulous before tomorrow!
Apart from wedding stuff, I’ve shopped & indulged with wine at lunch time. Just the sort if thing thing one should do on holidays! Just yesterday I was walking along & was almost taken out by a pigeon on the street. Mum was almost taken out by a bus, but I think the pigeon was much more traumatic! I was forced to stop and have a glass of champagne just to calm my nerves…
