At first I was a little unsure of Budapest. When we arrived it was windy, cold and grey. After traveling so much I knew the danger of having high expectations. I had to let then go.
But then the sun came out! It made such a difference. The leaves on the trees became vibrant reds and oranges and the city developed atmosphere.
(Climbing the lamp post to get me the perfect shot!)

The architecture and history of the city is incredible. You could literally spend a week walking the city just to see all the beautiful buildings. We only had 2 days so we limited ourselves to the highlights.

The city derives it’s name from the two sides, Buda and Pest! Clever hey! One side is definitely more built up than the other – Buda I believe. Pest has a hill with a beautiful park and monuments.

We pounded the pavement for 2 days and ended up with very sore feet!

And every street you looked down there was something beautiful…

And so many photo opportunities!

Thank you Budapest!
