The Sound of Music and Motzart. Two things which Salzburg is famous for and which had absolutely nothing to do with my weekend there.
It was however exceptionally beautiful, surrounded by the alps.
After Budapest my poor little feet needed recovery, so we had a much slower day exploring the town. The city has maintained its culture and heritage well, with many of the stores still using old style signs above their doors.
(The Golden Arches, Salzburg style!)
(As close as I got to anything music related)
We visited the castle on the hill, a must-see tourist attraction. I even met a knight….
(The Golden Room)
(Beautiful old stove in the royal suite)
The views from the top were spectacular.
We walked along the river and visited a beautiful garden which must be spectacular in summer.
(Proof that unicorns do exist!)
(See, told you my feet hurt!)
Always making me laugh 🙂
