Despite having been in Europe for 6 months I still hadn’t made it to Prague. Everyone had told me it was wonderful, but because I don’t like to have high expectations (remember Cuba?), I wasn’t taking any chances.

Turns out Prague is pure MAGIC. It is like walking onto the set of a Disney movie. There is a church in the centre of the old down that looks like the Disney castle. Honestly!

The buildings are ornate, the streets are cobblestones and at night there are fairy lights everywhere. What more could a girl want?

This average Australian girl had a great time exploring the wonderland of Prague with her mum. We wandered till our feet ached. And then we ate cake. Then we wandered more. And ate more cake.

After missing the Astrological Clock going off at the top of the hour FOR A DAY we finally got to see the little parade of the 12 apostles that is the main draw card of the clock.

We crossed the Charles David bridge – built in the 12th century! – and ventured to the castle.

The actual Prague castle was quite impressive and we spent a morning wandering through. Unfortunately no matter how much mum looked, there was no Prince Charming.
