I’ll be honest…this post is mainly about meeting my gorgeous nephew Alex. And only a little about Venice. Venice has been trumped by the most adorable kid on the planet.

I had been waiting 14 months, but just over a week ago I finally got to meet him!

Chris, Elaine and Alex had come to Europe for the wedding and decided to make a Eurotrip of it. They started in Rome then made their way to Venice where Dad and I met them. After 3 years of not seeing my brother, it was  fabulous reunion.

And of course, we had the bonus of exploring Venice and it’s winding waterways. We spent a day getting lost (literally) in the tiny alleys that led to little hidden gems of places.
