I’m just going to say it – I don’t love going to the hairdresser. Yes, I am probably in the minority here. It’s just that for me (with so much hair) it is a lot of sitting around staring at myself in a mirror. Let’s be honest, no one looks good in those black capes after staring at themselves for more than 5 minutes. Add to that I never quite know what the end result will be, which makes me anxious.
If you follow me you know of my hair dramas here in Vienna; hard water = hair like straw and of course the blinding disaster the week before my wedding.
I rocked up on my scooter feeling out of place outside the giant wooden door that screamed ‘FANCY!’. I felt better when inside I saw another scooter in the ‘garage’. And yes, the receptionist called it a garage, not me!
(Side note: scootering is TOTALLY the way I get around now. Thanks husband!)
I was super impressed to see that we were all seated around a heavy wooden table with a plethora of magazines (all in German). No old school seats in front of a mirror here.
While I could have had a champagne, it was 10.30am in the morning so I opted for a cappuccino. I’m so boring! From then on it was hair dye central.
Looking at these photos I can’t believe how blonde my hair had become (far left).
Like I said, hairdressers make me nervous so when I saw the ‘first draft’ I knew it wasn’t me. Don’t get me wrong, it was beautiful, but I really like my hair quite simple. 90% of the time it is up in a ponytail.
No dramas. Take two.
So, of the 2 different colours above, which one do you think I ended up with?
I’ll leave you with that thought…. 🙂
